Goldorado Animal Hospital is equipped to handle all veterinary emergencies during regular business hours. Call us at (530) 677-8387 if you're experiencing an emergency.

Contact us immediately if your pet displays any of the following symptoms:

Emergency Symptoms

  • Difficulty breathing

  • Bleeding from the nose, mouth, or anus

  • Acute abdominal swelling

  • Excessive vomiting or diarrhea

  • Excessive bleeding

  • Symptoms of heatstroke

  • Repetitive or prolonged seizures

  • High or low temperature (over 104 degrees or under 100 degrees)

  • Inability to urinate or defecate

Emergencies That Need Immediate Attention

  • Attack from another animal

  • Fall from a height

  • Hit by a car

  • Electric shock

  • Snake bites

  • Sudden lameness

  • Injury to the eye

  • Obvious fracture or deep wounds

  • Delayed birth (more than 3-4 hours between kittens/puppies)

  • Loss of consciousness
